Argument Analysis Seminar


Seminar Time: 2:00pm - 3:00pm

A comprehensive overview of how students should analyse persuasive texts, covering structure and techniques, alongside tips and tricks to improve your analytical skills!

  • Exam tips for the argument analysis section of the exam
  • What to look out for when reading persuasive passages
  • Comprehensive overview of language techniques, and how to correctly analyse them!
  • Explanation of key mechanisms of argument analysis including argument structure, tone, audience and contentions

Text Response Seminar


Seminar Time: 3:00pm - 4:00pm

Whether you haven’t read the book, or feel prepared and want to check your knowledge, this seminar will provide a detailed look into not only how to write an analytical text response, but also detailed explanation of themes and devices used in a range of texts.

  • How to structure paragraphs and introductions!

Comparative Response Seminar


Seminar Time: 4:00pm - 5:00pm

Comparative text responses can be incredibly difficult, but this seminar will equip you with the thematic knowledge, and essay writing skills to excel in this section of the exam! Regardless of your comparative writing ability, this seminar is for all levels of ability.
